Turmeric (Curcumin) provides numerous benefits to healing and overall good health. It’s a natural anti-inflammatory, supports healthy joint function and helps improve digestion. Adding in a fresh turmeric (the root form) in juices and smoothies will provide a nice little kick to any deelish recipes.

Apple-Carrot Spicy Delight
1 whole green apple
3 peeled carrots
1 inch piece of ginger
1 inch piece of turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Spice it Up!
1 bunch of romaine
3 stalks of celery
1 whole cucumber
1 lemon (peeled)
1 lime (peeled)
1 green apple
1 inch of turmericTurmeric Juice

– 5 pieces of fresh turmeric root, washed
– 1 lemon – warm water –
 2 tablespoon honey – cold water
Preparation: Put the turmeric root, and the the lemon through your juicer, you can put the pulp back a second and maybe even a third time to get all the goodness out. Leave the juicer running and pour about 1/2 cup warm water through. Mix in the honey. If you don’t want to use honey, either swap the lemon for an orange or use a different sweetener (it wont be as medicinal, but it will be sweeter…)
Top up with 1-2 cups cold water and store in fridge (keeps for a few days). Serve over ice in short glasses. Turmeric also goes really well with freshly juiced pineapple and gives you a nice natural buzzy feeling..
